Treatment of low doses curcumin could modulate Th17/Treg balance specifically on CD4+ T cell cultures of systemic lupus erythematosus patients. 2015 test tube study reported that curcumin could decrease IL-17 and increase Treg
Curcumin and Berberine Arrest Maturation and Activation of Dendritic Cells Derived from Lupus Erythematosus Patients. 2024 test tube study reported that curcumin had anti-inflammatory effects by promoting expression of inhibitory cytokines and reducing the secretion of proinflammatory markers.

Oral supplementation of turmeric decreases proteinuria, hematuria, and systolic blood pressure in patients suffering from relapsing or refractory lupus nephritis: a randomized and placebo-controlled study. 500mg turmeric TDS = significant decrease in proteinuria, systolic blood pressure and hematuria were found to decrease significantly
The effects of curcumin supplementation on inflammatory markers in systemic lupus erythematosus patients: a randomized placebo-controlled trial.
1000mg curcumin daily caused a significant reduction in anti-ds DNA and IL-6 levels
Effect of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Supplementation on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients with Hypovitamin D Which Were Given Vitamin D(3) towards Disease Activity (SLEDAI), IL-6, and TGF-beta1 Serum. vitamin d3 × 400 IU and placebo 3 × 1 tablets (group I) and those receiving 3 × 400 IU cholecalciferol and Curcuma xanthorrhiza 3 × 20 mg for 3m. Curcuma xanthorrhiza supplementation on vitamin D3 had no effects on SLEDAI and serum levels of IL-6 and TGF-β1.
Group I (400 IU cholecalciferol + placebo three times daily, n = 15)
Group II (600 mg curcumin + 15,800 m piperine once daily and three times daily placebo, n = 15)
Group III (cholecalciferol 400 IU three times and 600 mg curcumin + 15,800 mg piperine once a day, n = 15).
Although vitamin D or curcumin-piperine alone could improve the clinical outcome and cytokines levels in SLE, curcumin-piperine combined with vitamin D had the best outcome in improving the disease activity and cytokines levels among patients with SLE.
So specifically for better results in lupus, look for a nanocurcumin with added vitamin D
Our Gold Standard Curcumin contains a research backed dose of nanocurcumin as well as added vitamin D3 (1,000IU)
That's why we build our SLE bundle
