Lipoic acid shows benefit for Multiple Sclerosis in world first

Alpha lipoic acid shows benefit for people with multiple sclerosis (MS) in Octopus trial - a world first research study in the UK

Led by Professors Jeremy Chataway and Max Parmar at University College London, the first part of the Octopus trial compared Alpha Lipoic Acid to placebo and to metformin (glucophage)

This dose was 1,200mg standard alpha lipoic acid every day compared to placebo

Early analysis reported a benefit of alpha lipoic acid but not of metformin or placebo

I, Conor, prefer R-Alpha Lipoic Acid as it is natural form of Lipoic Acid and has less side effects

Crucially, research directly in people with MS shows that R Alpha Lipoic Acid is equivalent to standard Lipoic Acid

I take one capsule of Lipoic Acid Phix every morning and other every single evening
