Advanced glycation end products (AGEs)  and Fertility

AGEs are products formed as a result of a chemical reaction carbohydrates and free amino groups of amino acids (from proteins).

AGEs are found naturally in uncooked foods of animal origin and AGEs can be formed in foods as a result of heat treatment, Especially, processes such as grilling, roasting and frying

Consuming foods containing high amounts of AGEs contribute to many diseases and also fertility issues

Therefore, it is important to reduce the amount of AGEs we consume

  A 2021 study from turkey directly measured the levels of Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in foods and  here is a list of some of the highest sources of AGEs:
